What is Osteopathy?
Osteopathy is a manual therapy that treats the body holistically. The treatment goes beyond the surface, considering both body and mind. It is gentle yet effective, making it suitable for people of all ages and various physical challenges. The treatment is always individualized and safe.
Classical osteopathy is based on principles such as: the body is self-regulating, self-healing, and strives for health. The body's structure and function are interconnected and influence each other.
An osteopath aims to guide the body toward health by supporting and strengthening its own functions, improving both body function and structure. The treatment is very holistic, enhancing joint mobility and relaxing muscles and fascia. During the treatment, effects on the nervous system, blood circulation, and overall body fluid circulation are achieved. The goal of osteopathic treatment is to achieve a balanced and well-functioning body.
One can seek osteopathic treatment even without specific pain or tension. The treatment can support the body's health and thus prevent future physical challenges.
Osteopaths are healthcare professionals approved by Valvira, and therefore, the title of osteopath is protected.

At my practice
Both adult and child appointments last about 45 minutes.
For children, the treatment might be shorter, but it's good to allocate enough time as the treatment is conducted according to the child's needs. Treating according to the child's needs means respecting the child's own state and rhythm. A child can be treated in the parent's lap, on the treatment table, on the floor during play, or even in the osteopath's lap.
The visit includes an initial interview, examination, and treatment.
When coming for treatment, you can dress in comfortable clothing.

Who am I?
I am Heidi, a joyful, active, and life-loving osteopath.
In the spring of 2019, after four years of study, I graduated from the Atlas School of Osteopathy. Before my osteopathy studies, I trained as a classical masseuse. I found my calling in the healthcare field. As an empathetic person, I have always been interested in listening to and helping others. As an osteopath, I can fulfill my passion and dream of helping people.
Since graduation, I have deepened my expertise with continuing education in osteopathy, which I pursue regularly. At my core, I am very open and curious about new things. Learning new things also motivates me in my work. Human anatomy and the psychophysical whole fascinate me greatly, which is why I want to learn and know even more about the subject.
Customer focus is the most important principle of my service. With each client, I discuss and agree on an individual treatment plan. Meeting people is one of the best parts of my job, and I also see it as one of my strengths.
